Dana Dahlquist began his knowledge for golf about nine years ago. At the time he looked into finding the best ways to make the golf swing better.
His first journey was to find the area’s best teacher and find out what they knew.
He works in 1994 with Gary Gilchrist in Santa Barbara at the Leadbetter Academy. During the summer months he helped teach the junior clinic at Long Beach’s Virginia CC with Mike Bacicca.

As in golf you are always learning weather is it personal or if it is a students game. During this journey he had an opportunity to work with Mac O’Grady, which was great fun, and eye opening.

March of 2004 Dana began working at Heartell Golf Course in long Beach CA.
It is one of the best places to teach because of its true ability to make a player’s game better. Even though Dana is known to be a swing teacher, he really enjoys to do short game playing lessons. The main focus in his teaching is getting basics down, the set up and the ability to get confidant before you play the shot.

Another great note about Heartwell is its History. It was Tiger Woods first stomping grounds. As you would guess it hosts many junior golfers during the week.

At this moment Dana is working or has worked with many great Professional players as well as Top Ranked College players. Here is a short list of some.
